Gear Review : The North Face Denali special edition glove

Last week-end was probably the best to put up to test the North Face Denali special edition leather gloves that was given to me by the shop The North Face Westmount - DIX30 opérées par Au Sommet.


I've been using the gloves since the beginning of the winter but last week-end, ice climbing in Quebec city, was probably the coldest week-end of the winter so far with temperature reaching the -25oC. 

The Pros : 

- Great material and build quality - leather doesn't feel cheap
- The inside wool is surprisingly warm 
- Good dexterity as they don't feel bulky like many leather gloves

The Cons :

- They fit smaller than all my other north face gloves. consider maybe buying one size bigger
- Great fit once your hand is in the glove but they are tight at the wrist so they can be hard to put back on if your hands are cold or wet.
- They would probably need an extra waterproof coating if you plan on some prolonged exposure to wet snow

​Overall, I would definitely recommend this glove for everyday winter activities if you are looking for a leather glove and you can find the right size
